Change the Default Paper Size in Fedora Linux

 The quick way:

Change directory to /etc/cups/ppd.

There you should find a file for your printer.

Edit it and find the line:

 *DefaultPageSize: A4

The list of supported sizes is below that line. Make sure you set the default to one of those.
